Serrater

A family business cultivating crops – driving on innovation and digitalisation

4 SER

Located in the Emporda, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean sea, growing apples is in the core of their business. Spreaded on the 155 ha of the land, SER is producing 6500 tonnes of apples yearly – certified by Global GAP, GRASP, among others. Serrater is commercialising their apples through the producers organisation Giropoma Costa Brava  – 70% of those distributed to the supermarkets, and exporting the remaining overseas.

Role in the project

Serrater will bring their agronomic expertise and vision into the ROBS4CROPS. Devoting their plantations and facilities to piloting activities, serrater will identify the risks and opportunities robotics has for a leading farming company such as their own.
